Orange Retail Finance India Pvt Ltd is looking for a full-time Manager (Income Accounting) to join their team in an exciting time of organisational growth and development. The role reports to the AVP (Finance and Accounts).
Lead the day-to-day activities of an income accounting, co-lending, and reporting and ensure that the team is performing within timelines.
Monitor General Ledger activity for accuracy and monitor preparation of journal entries. Coordinate month-end close including preparation of journal entries.
Prepare account reconciliations and certification. Prepare Regulatory and Internal reporting. Assist in audit collaboration (Internal and External).
Response to internal and external requests including variance analysis and inquires. Participate in Ad Hoc projects and new transactions.
Ensure that the income and co-lender transactions are properly accounted with 100% accuracy and correctness within agreed TAT.
Ensure that proper reconciliation is done between business systems and accounting systems regarding income booking and co-lender transactions within agreed TAT.
Ensure monthly provisioning for Income Accruals including Interest, NPA, BC, ODC, Other Income etc within agreed TAT.
Ensure that the periodical MIS of Incoming Accounting including co-lender transactions are submitted to the senior management are provided within agreed TAT.
Ensure that the timely repayments are made to co-lenders and ensure appropriate accounting for the same within agreed TAT.
Ensure proper internal control, effective cost savings, no revenue leakage and appropriate control sheets for all functions of the team.
Ensure that the appropriate provision for payable and reconciliation are done within agreed TAT.
Performing managerial reasonableness reviews and discussing reporting & analytics deliverables prepared by the team to ensure results make sense, that messaging is on point for the audience and ensuring the core objective of the deliverable is met.
First point of escalation for dealing with the issues (people/process/technology) and ensuring that compliance requirements are adhered to (e.g. company policies surrounding standard of conduct, information security, employment regulations)
Coaches the team and works with leadership to establish the team member goals and gather feedback for performance appraisals.
Ensure completion of deliverables within the committed timeframe including assistance with development of deliverable plans, attending deliverable specific or recurring meetings between the team and the cross functional team. Team deliverables revolve around.
Collaborate closely with the cross functional teams to understand expectations and deliverable timelines and ensure that deliverables of the team are load balanced as compared to team staffing.
Required to participate in or conduct a wide range of accounting and financial analyses on critical and complex issues which may include variance analysis and accounting transactions.
Required to serve as a subject matter expert on a particular accounting transactions. Provide support to key stakeholders of the team to present analytical results, findings.
Ensure that the existing IT system issues are addressed and rectified properly in right time within agreed TAT.
Ensure that the Implementation Phase actionable are properly handled within agreed TAT.

- Essential Experience
• At least ten years’ experience in a similar role
• Demonstrable track record of Income Accounting
• Successful, significant, and relevant achievement at management level in a comparable organisation.
• Experience of developing and implementing strategic and business plans.
• Effective dissemination of information to large and diverse groups.
Educated to a CA (Inter) or equivalent
